Rule of thumb generally is if you are reselling something that is heavily relying on the image for its value, then you need an extended license - like printing an image on a mug to sell in a store. If you are working on a client's website, you only need a Standard License.

Q: License - Standard or Extended

Hi,

Could you please confirm the below:

1) the deal which is available in Appsumo is standard or extended. I could see a section in your website stating about Standard and Extended version.

2)If i use the images for youtube video. the license is only applicable until it reaches 500,000 views only and if the video views crosses 500,000 views, then we will getting copyright strike? or can we use it unlimited views(impressions) without copyright strike?

The quantity of website visitors=> Unlimited
The quantity of copies or impressions=> Up to 500,000
The quantity of copies or displays for electronic use => Unlimited
The maximum allowed size (resolution) of the unmodified File for electronic use => Unlimited

2) Our images can be used for YouTube video. The license is applicable even if the video views cross the 500k threshold, since the digital usage for images with a standard license is unlimited.

Q: Why is this described as "lifetime" as though it's a subscription?

The terms of the deal this year are written in a way that feels misleading. It appears to still just be a deal for 100 credits that don't expire (but are able to be used for video/audio this time). But phrasing it as a "lifetime deal" makes it sound like you're getting a subscription or getting these credits on a monthly basis. That doesn't seem to be the case. It also says it's normally $300 which doesn't seem to correlate with any of your standard pricing. Why is it phrased this way? Is there something different about the deal this year that I'm missing?

If you’re planning to download a mix of images, videos, and audio files, the credits will be deducted based on the type of content. Here’s how it works:

YOu guys called me and said I cannot use appsumo credits if Im a business, but the listing says its for small businesses. Please clarify what you are selling on appsumo if its not for business use? Why would personal people buy this sale? Only business people buy on appsumo.

hello I bought 3 tiers to have 300 credits and was trying to download some music but then the screen changed to a purchase page? I thought my purchase was for audio and video not just images?

Misleading Marketing

I consider this deal somewhat misleading. I didn't realize I was only limited to downloading 100 files! There wasn't any warning about the downloads or limits being used up. I was suddenly notified to purchase extra credits. At first, I thought this was an error, so I chatted with an agent who explained the details the Appsumo promo didn't make obvious. This is very poor from you guys!

Can't get anything to download into Kajabi and depositphotos support no help

Not much more to say really, downloaded to my computer fine, but when I tried to upload to my Kajabi site it wouldn't do it. Asked chat for help but she blamed it on Kajabi and just said it downloaded ok from their site and repeated the same line when I asked if she had any suggestions as to anything I could try. Have uploaded plenty of other photos to Kajabi with no probs other than needing to resize occasionally. Refunding.

This is scam, a fraud! DO NOT BUY.

They mislead by promoting as a life time deal, but it´s a one time use FOR EVERYTHING. Yet, in the description, they make you think that the limited, one-time use is only for the AI generated images and videos. I never used any AI functions - nothing, Yet, they terminated my subscription saying I had used up all my access. How? If I never used any AI functions?

They mislead by making you think that it´s an LTD for the stock photos, and only the tiers being priced based on the amount of limited AI generations. I never used any AI, thus my payment was a complete scam. It reflects badly on AppSummo by not clearly stating that it´s not an LTD like almost everything else, if they also know that it´s just a one-time use, a limited "subscription".

In any case, I should have the right to use the amount of AI generations I bought. I used zero of what the plan offered me. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH APPSUMMO. HOPE THEY CANCEL DEPOSITPOHOTOS FROM THIS SITE. Sorry, can´t add value when it´s deception. Anyway, I didn´t even get to try out the AI functions, did I?

Where are all these 5 tacos coming from? Sorry, but they must be fake. There are more people complaining about this deception as well. DO NOT BUY, and don´t respond to me you people from DepositPhotos, because I will only elevate my formal complaint to the highest level as possible.

The worst part is you thinking we are stupid. We are not. You scheming liars.
