Hey, friends! Today, I’m going to share my affiliate marketing experience with you. I worked with the ProPush.me platform and the chosen combination was push notification + Revshare as an earning model. I know that most of you are not the biggest fans of Revshare, since it doesn’t bring immediate income.

However, when combined with a push notifications service, Revshare can do wonders. I bet that you will get inspired by my results - I have some shiny stats to boast of. But first things first, so let’s start with the beginning.

A few words about my offer

  • Low unsubscribe rate

Yes, users unsubscribe from time to time. But, again, from my own experience, it doesn’t happen too often. All in all, new users will subscribe instead and their number is higher for most cases. By the way, you can see the unsubscribe rate in your ProPush cabinet and control things.

How to start collecting push subscriptions?

With ProPush, setting up push subs requires a couple of steps. Good news - you only have to do that once, while the rest of your work will be much easier. Here are the instructions:

  • Sign up or create an account with ProPush;
  • Go to the Sites section and choose Add Source - your website or landing page for a push campaign;
  • Then you should add your URL and upload a JS file to the page source for verification;
  • After your landing page or website is verified, move to tags - there are Smart Tag or a TrafficBack link to choose from. I chose Smart Tag and Revshare, as you know;
  • Once you’ve got all the settings adjusted, you will receive a script to insert into the <head> section of your landing’s HTML - this one is a push subscription tag. In addition, make sure to insert an sw.js file into the "root" (you will need an HTML editor to do so).

Here you go. Now push subscriptions will appear on your landing with the tag and you can enjoy your profit.

Launch and optimization

While ProPush.me allows you to view statistics and see the performance of your campaign, there is a necessity to analyze that data and most importantly - optimize things.

For optimization, you have to use a special tracker, be it Binom or Voluum. Integrate one with ProPush and an ad network to start evaluating your campaigns by numerous aspects: regions, platforms, mobile operators, etc.

To optimize your campaign, you should work with white and black lists. After reviewing your stats, make sure to distinguish websites and targeting settings that don't bring you conversions. Remove them right to your black lists to avoid wasting your budget for something that doesn’t pay back. As for the white lists, these are the websites and settings that bring you more income, so you'd better focus on them.

The great thing about trackers like Binom - you can use them to make money from the non-targeted traffic, as well. Say, some sources might send you traffic you don’t want - wrong devices, unwanted GEOs, wrong OS, and more. In most cases, such users don’t convert, but even if they do, this might hurt your quality with the advertiser. As such, to make money on your paid traffic, you can send them to a TrafficBack link and enjoy profit anyway.

As for me, I did my best to optimize this campaign a number of times and my efforts brought great results. See the stats for May:

My profit grew almost two times and I was pretty happy to see such numbers. As you can see, Revshare works! During the entire May, the number of subscriptions stayed the same, but the number of impressions (as well as my profit) grew day after day. Even though I switched to another GEO today, my work still brings amazing results. And yes, optimization helped me to avoid useless cash spending.

And here are the latest results for August. Even though I had a subscriptions drop, campaign optimization helped me fix things and boost revenue:
